Frank Foley is a writer living and studying in 
Canterbury. he is very interested in meanings and how 
we make meanings out of things, and he tries to explore this by 
communicating a lot of information in a limited space.

His work has been published in magazines such as Connections, The Poet Tree,

One maraca must mean
something, she said,
pushing where she shouldn’t 
have pushed.  How do you
end up with one maraca,
anyway, she said, laughing
like there must be a funny 
story there somewhere.
The girl I’m still in love with
has the other one, I said.
